This course extends students’ skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English for a wide variety of social and academic purposes and prepares them for successful participation in the mainstream secondary school program. Students will refine language structures, expand academic vocabulary, improve oral and written communication, and use study strategies across the curriculum. Students will also develop the skills needed to interpret and respond to a range of texts and media. Prerequisite: ESL Level 4 or equivalent.
