OSSD for Hong Kong Students: Fees, Study Time and Enrolment

Hong Kong students can study Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) credit courses online with Sauder Academy. Each course costs CAD $3,000 and includes five hours of one-to-one live Zoom lessons. Your total cost and completion plan depend on the courses and graduation requirements you still need to complete.

What does the course fee include?

The course fee includes five hours of individual live Zoom instruction. These five hours are included per course, not per week, and are not the total learning time for a credit course. Students also need time for course materials, assignments and assessments.

Before enrolling, request a written fee breakdown and confirm payment dates, any additional charges, materials, assessment arrangements, refund terms and the deadline for completing the course.

How much will my study plan cost?

These are course-fee calculations, not a quote for a complete OSSD diploma. Taking six courses does not by itself satisfy every graduation requirement. The school must assess your transcript and confirm your individual requirements.

How long does it take?

There is no single completion time for every student. Prior studies, recognised credits, prerequisites, remaining graduation requirements, weekly study time and university deadlines all affect the plan. Ask for an assessed course sequence and target completion dates before committing.

Five steps to enrol

1. Prepare your background: recent transcripts, current school year and curriculum, intended university programmes and entry year.
2. Request an assessment: confirm recognised credits, prerequisites and outstanding requirements with the school.
3. Agree a study plan: check Hong Kong-time lesson arrangements, assessment dates, workload and the written fee breakdown.
4. Submit your application: follow the school’s instructions for documents and payment.
5. Prepare to study: learn how to access materials, submit work and contact your teachers.

Questions to ask before enrolling

• Am I taking individual credits or working towards the complete OSSD?
• Which courses meet my target university’s requirements?
• How much weekly learning time should I allow?
• How are the five included Zoom hours scheduled?
• When must final results reach the university?
