This course explores key aspects of U.S. social, economic, and political development from precontact to the present. Students examine contributions of groups and individuals, investigate historical context for key issues, trends, and events shaping U.S. identity and global role, and extend skills in historical thinking and inquiry, including interpreting and analysing evidence about forces that shaped American history. Prerequisite: Canadian History since World War I, Grade 10, Academic or Applied.
