This course introduces students to computer science. Students design software independently and in teams using industry-standard programming tools and the software development life-cycle model, write and use subprograms, and develop creative solutions to a range of problems as their understanding of computing grows. Students also explore environmental and ergonomic issues, emerging research, and global career trends in computer-related fields. Prerequisite: None.
