A dual-diploma plan means working towards two separate secondary-school qualifications, such as HKDSE and OSSD. Sauder Academy can assess whether online OSSD study fits alongside your current school. The plan requires additional study time and does not automatically lead to two diplomas.
Individual credits or a complete second diploma?
You may want a specific subject for a university prerequisite, or you may intend to complete OSSD. These are different goals. The school must assess your transcript, identify recognised credits and confirm every remaining graduation requirement before estimating a full diploma plan.
What should be assessed first?
- Your current school year, curriculum and recent academic records.
- Course prerequisites and the credits the school can recognise.
- Remaining graduation requirements and target completion dates.
- Current schoolwork, tuition, activities and available weekly time.
- Target universities, programmes, language requirements and application routes.
Credit recognition is an individual school assessment, not an automatic conversion of HKDSE results. Avoid choosing a plan based on a fixed transfer-credit promise or completion time that has not been assessed for you.
How much extra work is involved?
Online courses still require reading, assignments, tests, projects and final assessment. Use our illustrative weekly study plan to identify available slots, then confirm the actual workload with the school. Your existing studies and rest need to remain part of the plan.
Fees and teaching support
Each course costs CAD $3,000 and includes five hours of one-to-one live Zoom lessons in total. This is not a weekly allowance or the whole course workload. Read our fees and enrolment guide and request a written quote for your assessed course plan.
Check university applications separately
Holding two qualifications does not guarantee admission. Confirm the correct route, required records, subject conditions and document deadlines with each university. Our Hong Kong university checklist helps organise these questions.
